Welcome to The 2 Ridges Basketball League - serving 4th thru 8th graders living in the Trailside, Stone Hill, Eagle Ridge and Belmont Ridge Middle School boundaries, as well as 9-12th graders in the Rock Ridge, Briar Woods and Stone Bridge High School boundaries. T2RBL is a 501c3 youth basketball organization, run by all volunteers, that operates in coordination with the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PR&CS). T2RBL is one of the affiliated Loudoun County youth basketball leagues that are centered on each of the middle schools in Loudoun County.
Player registration for the 2014-2015 is now CLOSED. Those whose wish to be a house league coach may continue to register to do so via SportsSignup as we still are in need of coaches in many age groups.
Those player who are currently on the waitlist will receive an email messgae should a spot become available. No additional waitlist requests will be taken at this time.
All registration is done on a first come, first served basis. Those players who intend to tryout for their Middle School (travel) team, MUST be registered in order to attend those tryouts in the fall.
Note - there is not a seperate registration for the Middle School League (ie. travel) all players are registering for the house league. Those players who wish to tryout are to simply attend the tryouts scheduled for their school and grade level - provided they are already registered as a participant in the house league.
Those who will be attending TRAILSIDE MS, opening in Fall of 2014 will remain a part of Two Ridges Basketball
All registration is completed through SportsSignup (link on the right hand side). Each family will need to have a household account in order to signup.
NOTE - you are registering your child for the grade they will be in as of September 2014. The system will automatically "age up" players based on the information you enter when creating your account. If you already have an account, you do not need to create a new one.
Evaluations/Tryouts will not occur until September of 2014 and that information will be posted here.
Beginning in the 2012-2013 season, Two Ridges (T2RBL) began an initiative to "Give Back" to the community in which we serve - this started with our annual T2RBL Holiday "Give Back" Tip-Off Tournament. Youth Sports teaches more than just the game, youth sports teach a number of life lessons that we all use in our daily lives as we get older and stop playing the games we will always love.
In 2012-2013 Two Ridges raised approximately $2000 to help the DiGiovanna scholarship fund after Tony's passing. The funds raised helped will go toward helping his 4 children with their continuing education costs later in life. In addition to raising these funds, the Two Ridges community also collected over 1000lbs of food to support Loudoun Interfaith relief and their efforts to provide food across Loudoun.
At our 2013-2014 Tip Off Tournament, Two Ridges experienced another loss in our community with the passing of Gavin Rupp earlier in the year; you can read more about Gavin through the link on the left "Our Promise to #15." Gavin passed away after a nearly 3 year battle with cancer. Together our community raised $5000 which was donated to Children's National Medical Center on his behalf to help fund childhood cancer research and care toward for children battling the disease.
Later in the 2013-2014 season Two Ridges was approached by Central Loudoun Basketball League (CLBL) to host an All-Star event that benefitted a Loudoun County charity. Together, with the help of Loudoun Sports Alliance (LSA); we launched what will now be an annual event - the Loudoun Charity Basketball Classic (LBCC). With teams participating from T2RBL, CLBL and Western Loudoun (WLBL), together we raised $10,000 in support of Gabriella Miller's Smashing Walnuts Foundation. T2RBL and CLBL along with LSA are already in the processing of planning for the 2nd Annual LBCC that will take place on March 13-15th of 2015.
