For those who don't know James, he is an assistant coach in the Girls 4/5 age group; here is the story:
We are a group of friends that gathered around a moment of crisis to ask for your support in a friend of ours, Daniela Duncan. She is going through a very tough situation right now.
Dani’s husband, Jimmy Duncan, is currently unconscious in the Critical Care Unit at the Inova Hospital, after suffering a seizure and falling down the stairs of their house on February 20th.
When the incident happened, Jimmy was alone with the couple’s brave son, Andrew, who had to find a way to get help to his dad. It took a while, but Andrew was finally able to let his mom know what had happened (by sending her a video he recorded showing his dad laying unresponsive) and get first responders to their home.
The seizure and fall were so serious Jimmy had to be airlifted to the hospital. Since the accident, Jimmy has had further complications and right now is fighting pneumonia. As for Dani, on top of the emotional burden of this situation, she is struggling with the massive financial impact, as Jimmy does not have health insurance.

2012-2013 PLAYER REGISTRATION

EARLY REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED. Should space be available in your childs age group, registration as well as the wait list will re-open in early August. Please continue to monitor the website for additional information.

Registration Process for 2012-2013 (ALL AGE GROUPS – House, Travel and HS):
Registration Process will be changing for the upcoming season. The league will be offering an "Early Bird Special" starting March 1 and ending March 14th. Our registration cost will increase going into next year, so for those that take advantage of this "Early Bird" opportunity, the registration fee for the 2012-2013 season will be $150.00 per player with applicable "family" discount" if all players in the household are registered at the same time.
For those that choose to wait until our normal August Registration period (August 1-August 10), the cost will be $200.00 for those players and will be a first come first serve; provided their is space in the age group available. There are no garauntees that any spots will be available in August.
In all cases – Registration will be done through Sportability as we ONLY accept credit cards for registration.
The incoming 4th graders will not be penalized for August registration given that we don't currently serve any 3rd grade division, those are served by DYB.
Players are STRONGLY encouraged to sign up in March to garauntee a spot for the 2012-2013 season.
Registering to coach DOES NOT garauntee your child a spot in the league – they must be registered and PAID FOR in order to play in the 2012-2013 season. ONLY Head Coaches are permitted to register prior to the start of the season, as Asst. Coaches have no influence on the number of players and teams we are able to support.

Anyone placed on the waitlist after March 14th will see an increased registration fee of $200, should they be afforded an opportunity to participate in the league for the 2012-2013 season.
